TEXTUS
The work, before it takes shape.
A non-linear creative partner for developing an idea into a manuscript. It holds the story as a web of parallel character timelines and nodes, ingests the manuscript itself, and notices what the author can no longer see, because they live inside it.
Four roles, one partner
Memory
Keeps the record — every fact, every timeline, every relationship.
View
Five views onto the same material.
Provocateur
Puts facts in conflict with each other.
Conscience
Demands a reason, when the author cannot give one.
„The system states a fact, never a judgment.”
If a character knows something they should not know yet, TEXTUS says so — but never corrects it. It might be exactly what the work intends. Breaking a rule is the writer’s tool; a fact-checker would be the work’s enemy.
Five views
The same work, seen five ways
Timeline
Three clock modes: narrated order, story time, and the order each character actually lived it — time travel and paradox loops included.
Arc
Presence, secret-curve, structure facts in percentages, from the real manuscript.
Web
The relationship network between characters, places, and objects.
Manuscript
The text itself, with marginal notes alongside.
Map
A full cartographic editor, multiple scales, the author’s own hand-drawn map included, with routes and enclosed spaces.
The manuscript and the model, in one place
- The manuscript moves in directly (.docx, .txt, .md). On a real short story, measured: 49,177 characters without loss, anchoring found 60 of 60 scenes.
- Marginal notes: if the author dismissed a lead, it does not come back unless the evidence changed. It does not nag.
- Live editing: type into a scene and the anchors behind it shift on their own. Measured: inserting 55 characters moved 57 anchors, 0 drifted.
- The text can leave: export to .md and .docx. Nothing is locked in.
Honestly, where it stands — v0.14.0
Every core feature exists and is measured, but the long real-work stress test is running now: the author is building a sci-fi work in it from zero. v0.13.0 closed all four Must items from the external audit (the backend sealed behind four layers, the save/reload schema round-trip, durable storage with autosave and undo, performance re-measured). v0.14.0 reshaped the interface: header controls cut from 23 to 13, on-screen controls from 297 to 190, a command palette (Cmd+K), and a visual language of warm paper with one green accent.
From the external audit
„TEXTUS is an application of rare intellectual depth, built on genuinely brilliant foundations. Its existing deterministic engine, the graphically transparent timeline, and its ethical use of AI give it a solid enough frame that, built out with the format-specific parsers and editor above, the software could become a premium-tier writing tool with no equal on the international market.”
From here, the work moves on
TEXTUS publishes a release to the shared shelf. PFPP and Comic Studio AI Pro pick it up from there — with the citation still attached to every fact.
